About the Position: This position serves as a Dental Hygienist at Lyster Army Health Clinic, Fort Rucker, AL. Typical office hours are Monday-Friday 0730-1615. Complete preliminary dental examinations on new dental service patients.
Examine the teeth and surrounding tissues for evidences of plaque and periodontal disease and charts findings.
Perform postoperative care and provides oral hygiene instruction.
Explain to patients the causes of periodontal disease and tooth decay.
Inspect the mouth and throat for evidence of disease such as oral cancer.
Perform various advanced and specialized oral prophylactic and preventive dental hygiene procedures.
