Health Technician (Optometry)

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Obtain health information from patient and/or family to identify reason for seeking health care.

Administer dilation medications by determining which medications to administer.

Prepare and operate the retinal camera to complete anterior and posterior ocular photographs.

Conduct a variety of color vision testing, visual field testing, and Stereo Vision Testing.

Adjust and repair eyeglasses using standard optical tools and heating units.

Inventory medication in each exam room to ensure adequate supply.

Provide patient education on treatments.
