About the Position: This is a Nurse (Ambulatory/Clinical) position located in the Ambulatory Infusion Clinic, Hematology/Oncology Department at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. This position is a Term Appointment NTE 2 years. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Provide highly specialized nursing care to patients requiring infusion therapy.
Administer and monitor medications, antineoplastic agents, investigational drugs, blood, and blood components.
Observe and assess patients for adverse reactions and complications related to parenteral therapy and initiate appropriate nursing actions.
Maintain established infection control and aseptic practices.
Function as the primary liaison and advocate for the patient, family, and/or significant other into the medical treatment system.
